Who uses your information?

Samantha Wallace, trading as SoLo Fares in Ireland, is responsible for this email subscriber list. For privacy questions or removal requests, use the existing SoLo Fares Contact Us form.

What you are agreeing to

When you tick the consent box and select “Keep me posted”, you ask SoLo Fares to email you about the launch and to send ongoing SoLo Fares emails covering relevant SoLo Finds, offers, travel inspiration and news. This is optional and is not a membership application. The checkbox is not pre-selected.

What we store and why

We store your email address, the time of your request, the purpose “solo_fares_email_updates”, the consent wording version and a protected unsubscribe reference. We use these to maintain the email list, avoid duplicates and honour removal requests. Our basis for sending these emails is your consent. Older launch-notification-only consent does not authorise ongoing marketing and is kept separate.

Signups at solofares.ie are stored in the SoLo Fares production database on the Sites hosting infrastructure, using Cloudflare D1. Signups made on the review site are stored separately in the Sandbox database for testing. Access to the subscriber list is restricted to the SoLo Fares owner. Hosting providers process the data to operate the service. This form does not add an external email-marketing service or send emails automatically.

How long we keep it

Your subscription continues after launch until you unsubscribe or request removal. SoLo Fares will periodically review whether the information is still needed and remove records that are no longer necessary for this purpose. Unsubscribing removes your address from the active email list; launch itself does not end an ongoing subscription.

Change your mind or exercise your rights

After a new signup, the confirmation offers a link to remove your address immediately. You do not need to save that link: you can request removal at any time through the SoLo Fares Contact Us form. Every future marketing email will include a straightforward unsubscribe mechanism. You do not need a membership account to unsubscribe. Existing launch-only records will not be used for ongoing marketing without a new explicit opt-in. You can also ask to access, correct or delete your information. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal. You may complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.

Instagram and Facebook links take you to those services, where their own privacy arrangements apply. This page does not embed their tracking tools. Hosting and access-security logs are separate from the subscriber records described above.
